The state government's Service Victoria app - the orange QR code check-in app - began linking to vaccine certificates via Medicare on Monday in preparation, and several trial sites, including the Avoca Hotel, have begun testing the tech.
There are instructions online, but what if you need a little extra help?
The City of Ballarat will run in-person help sessions at the Ballarat Library Tuesdays and Thursdays from October 19, from 10am to 12pm.
Council's director of community wellbeing, Matt Wilson, urged people to bring their phones, Medicare cards, and ID to the drop-in sessions, especially if they needed a MyGov account as well.
"We can assist in setting up an email account so they can do the whole process," he added.
"It's obviously a timely and time-sensitive initiative as the vaccination economy is opened - we want to make sure people are ready to go"
It's the latest initiative from Ballarat's libraries to promote digital inclusion, particularly given how much of daily life has begun to occur online since the pandemic began.
Not everyone has been able to pivot to Zoom meetings and family catchups on Facebook Messenger, with fears this could lead to further isolation.
Council's libraries have held other drop-in events to promote digital skills, including at the successful Libraries After Dark program in Sebastopol, which at one stage included using VR headsets.
Mr Wilson said more were being planned for the future.

"It's not just about borrowing books, it's extending access and participation opportunities, with dedicated programs for residents," he said.
"I'd encourage people to look into the breadth of what's on offer at Ballarat's libraries,
"We're in the process of developing a library strategy which will give some guidance and strategy over the next several years, and we're really looking at ways to further enhance what we offer and what residents experience through their library services."
