The Courier has analysed the postcodes surrounding Ballarat, which is the most detailed data released by the Department of Health and Human Services.

While postcode data does give some insight, it is extremely broad at times and can cover vastly different geographical areas.

The 3363 postcode (which includes Creswick and the surrounding regions) and the 3373 postcode (which includes Beaufort and surrounds) are leading the way.

Both of those postcodes have 95-100% of eligible residents having received their first dose and 65-70% being fully vaccinated.

Ballarat's biggest postcode, 3350, which includes the majority of the city, has 90-95% of people with their first dose and 65-70% with both doses.

At the other end of the scale, however, is the 3356 postcode.

The 3356 postcode includes Sebastopol, Delacombe, Bonshaw and Winter Valley and is lagging behind with 70-75% first dose jabs completed and 45-50% double dose vaccinations.

City of Ballarat south ward councillor and proud Sebastopol resident Des Hudson earlier this week actively encouraged people living in these suburbs to roll-up their sleeves more.

Ballarat Health Services acute operations director Ben Kelly said pop-up plans were underway for the area. Mr Kelly said BHS had been working closely with City of Ballarat and Cr Hudson, who had a good understanding of his region.

"Des' input in those type of things, encouraging the community on vaccination [has been important] but also we making it as readily available as we possibly can," Mr Kelly said. "Easy to access is a high priority."

Plans are for a pop-up clinic similar to one co-hosted by Mount Rowan and Yuille Park colleges at the weekend, tapping into the wider school community.
