Nick Rodda joins the Devils after three seasons with Williamstown, where he played 41 games and kicked 70 goals.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The 27-year-old was the club's leading goalkicker in 2019 and played in the Seagulls' three-point grand final loss to Richmond that year.
Rodda crossed to the VFL in 2018 after six years with West Australian powerhouse West Perth Falcons.
He played 96 WAFL games, kicking 64 goals and winning a premiership in 2013.
Rodda also played in a losing grand final in 2015, with his former coach later revealing the forward went into the decider with a fractured leg.
Rodda had an interrupted 2021 VFL season, managing just six games - though he was named among his side's best on four occasions.
The Seagulls, with the help of East Point-affiliated Joel Ottavi, finished seventh with a 6-2 record.
Rodda's signing comes only a week after Darley announced BFNL legend Dan Jordan would take over as coach.
Jordan was most recently on Essendon's coaching panel, having worked his way up from a part-time VFL role to a full-time forward line coach for the AFL side.
Jordan spent seven years with East Point, two of them as senior coach, winning five Tony Lockett Medals and a Henderson Medal.
