A woman has been injured and is expected to be airlifted to Melbourne after being hit by a car in Ballarat Central this morning.

Emergency services were called to the Eyre and Armstrong street intersection to a report of a pedestrian being hit by a car about 10.30am.
Ambulance Victoria said the woman, believed to be in her 60s, sustained upper and lower body injuries.
She is in a serious but stable condition and is expected to be flown by air ambulance to a Melbourne hospital.
Police said the driver of the car stopped at the scene and has spoken with investigators.
The intersection has since been cleared.
