Ballarat Health Services has confirmed this move is solely for those in the industry who are unvaccinated and must provide proof of hospitality employment.
This comes after the state government caught the hospitality industry by surprise in a clarification earlier this week that all workers for cafes, pubs and restaurants must be fully vaccinated before venues open to more fully vaccinated patrons on Friday.
Commerce Ballarat chief executive Jodie Gillett and Australian Hoteliers Association Victoria president Dave Canny, of The Red Lion Hotel, have made clear the added stress and shock this had inflicted on staffing in an already hard-hit industry.
The jab window for Pfizer walk-ups is 10am to 2pm at the state-run clinic. There is a three-week interval between Pfizer doses.
Anyone aged 12-plus can walk in for Moderna at The Mercure vaccination hub and walk-ups for AstraZeneca are available for anyone aged 18-plus.
Intervals between jab doses are four weeks for Moderna and six weeks for AstraZeneca. Both vaccines are also available at participating chemists and general practitioner clinics.
BHS confirmed it had delivered 150,000 COVID-19 jabs across the Grampians region, including Ararat and Stawell.
It took the six months to reach the 100,000 milestone in early September and 44 days to deliver a further 50,000 jabs.
"A big thank you to the people of the Grampians who have rolled up their sleeve, and also to all the health care workers across the region who have worked so hard to reach this milestone," a BHS statement read.
Ballarat Health Services' Grampians Public Health Unit is so proud and grateful to be working with dedicated health care providers across our region to help protect our communities from COVID-19, and vaccination is a very important part of this work. We are in this together."
City of Ballarat's vaccination rate for residents aged 15-plus is more than 95 per cent for first doses and 72.5 per cent fully vaccinated.
