Data from October 19 shows Indigenous people in the Ballarat region - an area which includes Daylesford, Ballan, Maryborough, and Beaufort - aged 15 or older are currently 80.84 per cent single-vaccinated, and 58.89 per cent fully-vaccinated.
The numbers are the second-best in regional Victoria, narrowly trailing Warrnambool and South-West region, but worryingly still lag the state numbers.
In Ballarat, the Ballarat and District Aboriginal Co-operative has been leading the charge, making sure their community has access to the jab and offering it through their Armstrong Street GP clinic.
Chief executive Karen Heap said she was happy with how the rollout was going, as the state government announces additional supports across the state.
"We've been trying to send our positive messages through our newsletter, social media, and other avenues as well," she said.

"Certainly, we are still needing to vaccinate our community, we have no qualms about that whatsoever, but it's about encouraging people to get vaccinated, because as time has gone on, it's become more pressing.
"People understand the importance of it, and the fact that if you're not vaccinated, you're not going to be doing much, so there's choices to make."
In Melbourne, a boosted vaccination team will offer jabs directly at people's homes, and pop-up sites and mobile units will begin operating to cover more of the Indigenous population.
IN THE NEWS
While Ballarat has not yet been selected as a target region by the state government, extra resources will be made available in Warrnambool and in the Grampians, with surge workforce and culturally-sensitive vaccination areas.
The Ballarat Mercure mass vaccination hub will remain open, with plenty of appointments available.
