A planning application has been submitted to Hepburn Shire Council for 47 Albert Street in Creswick to become a Blake Family Grocers store.
The building is in between The Farmer's Wife and The British Hotel.
An application for a planning permit was submitted to Hepburn Shire Council on October 25, 2021 by Warren Lee from Warren Lee Architecture.
The application seeks to partially demolish the building under the provisions of the Heritage Overlay and to reconstruct a facade, new awning and signage.
Owners are also seeking to construct a mezzanine extension on the second floor and to hold a liquor licence to sell alcohol.

The application suggests the new grocer would rely on existing parking on Albert Street and near the information centre nearby.
A traffic assessment found there was no need for additional car parks and the application seeks a waiver of the required on-site car-parking which would be one additional car park.
Blake Family Grocers describes itself as a 'gourmet super store' filed with local artisan produce including cheese, charcuterie and groceries.
A Blake store opened in Daylesford in 2020.
It was developed by Brendan Blake, the owner of Maxi Foods Castlemaine and Ballarat.
There is currently one supermarket in Creswick, operated by IGA.
