The Active Women and Girls Program Ambassadors have been appointed by the City of Ballarat for 2021-22, with Lucy Brennan, Emma Maree Donald, Kellie Britt and Kate Weadon set to take on the roles.

Brennan, who is president of Ballarat Soccer Club and an ambassador for females in soccer, is set to be participation ambassador.

Maree Donald, a junior netball coach at Carngham-Linton Football Netball Club, an athletics coach and positive mental health advocate, will become culture and environment ambassador.
Britt, founder and president of AAA Sport Ballarat and Regional Sport Victoria Youth Advisory Council Facilitator, will be infrastructure ambassador.
Weadon, secretary of Drummo Dragons Basketball Club and Lake Wendouree Female Football Club volunteer will be media action ambassador.
"These ambassadors will continue our mission to remove barriers that may be constraining women and girls involvement in sport or physical activity, either as leaders or participants," City of Ballarat Deputy Mayor Cr Amy Johnson said.
The role of the ambassadors is to inspire, motivate and support other Ballarat women and girls to get physically active and feel confident about stepping into leadership roles in their clubs or active groups and empower equal participation and champion positive role modelling.
They replace 2020-21 ambassadors Melanie Robertson, Narelle Tolliday, Stephanie Mundy and Gail Weston.
