Short came to the crease with Victoria 3-94 and helped drive the side to 5-248 before being caught and bowled by Jack Edwards.

Victoria then bowled New South Wales out for 247 to claim a 174-run win.
It took until the final hour of day four, but Victoria eventually got the job done, Scott Boland taking the final scalp.
In Victoria's first innings, Short posted nine runs from 14 deliveries and finished with bowling figures of 0-3 off three overs, including one maiden in New South Wales first innings.
In the visitors' second innings, the former St Patrick's College student finished with figures of 1-22 off seven overs, including one maiden to help Victoria to a second-consecutive win.
