Grade on pupil Tyler is the school's top fundraiser, raising $800, partly by doing extra jobs around the house for mum and dad and donating his pocket money.
The fundraising effort is part of a colour run which will be held at the school for all students on Friday.
Delacombe Primary School grade six teacher Anthony Cross said the event was designed to create a fun time for pupils who have missed out on most fun school events and activities since the pandemic began.
"We have been in and out of lockdowns and there have been no excursions," he said.
"We finally have that light at the end of the tunnel and this is something exciting for the kids to take part in."
More than 300 of the 500 pupils at the school are participating in fundraising, with all students invited to join the colour run.

A course will be set up around the school oval with wet zones, colour zones and obstacles.
A nearby CFA brigade will bring a fire truck to the school for the event and police officers will also attend.
"It is nice to build that relationship with trusted people in our community," Mr Cross said.
Funds raised will support the school's grade six graduation ceremony which is run at no cost to families and the Energy Breakthrough program which culminates in a human powered vehicle competition in Maryborough.
Additional funds will be donated to the 3BA Christmas Appeal and this is what the school community is asking Ballarat businesses to support.
"A lot of families have been out of work, COVID-19 has affected a lot of people and Christmas is a hard time. We want to do our bit for the community," Mr Cross said.

Mr Cross said Tyler's fundraising effort was impressive and he had been shocked by the generosity of other pupils.
He said pupils with the highest fundraising totals could select prizes and the pupil with the second highest total had donated her prize to a nearby church.
"She said she did not want a prize so picked a wireless keyboard and is taking to to the church so they can give it to a child for Christmas," Mr Cross said.
"I was so stoked when she said that to me. Even the kids understand this time of year is really tough for families and many people have been through hard times."
