Delacombe Primary School business manager Tanya McKay says the suspected two thieves were caught on security video breaking into the shed repeatedly, and she hopes the public can assist with identifying and catching the culprits.
She says the school didn't know the property had been broken into until Tuesday.
"Our maintenance staff went to get some tools to fix something and we realised we had been broken into," Ms McKay told The Courier.
"We got on the security cameras and spent a fair while having a look and finally we tracked track them down. They had broken in on Saturday night at 10.22pm; they got into our new shed then and opened the door. Then they came back on Monday morning at 2am and 4am and took our big blowers and things like that. So being the weekend, no-one knew."
Ms McKay said Ballarat police were informed of the break-in on Tuesday night.
"I'm expecting them to contact me today," she says
"We did actually have another break-in happen earlier in the year, and we got them on camera and they were caught, which was really good; the police could identify them.
"But these guys are a bit hard because obviously they're wearing hoodies, caps and masks. So we're not getting a really good clear view of their face. But we've got one very identifiable jumper and red sneakers. So hopefully someone might recognise that."
Ms McKay said the school would welcome anyone with information regarding the break-in contacting them or the police.
"Definitely - if the public has got any idea that would be wonderful; either contact us or the police, please," Ms McKay said.
Ballarat police confirmed they are investigating a burglary at Delacombe Primary School. Members of the public with information can contact Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
