After a Triple-0 call was made reporting the house, on Cypress Avenue, was fully alight, firefighters rushed to the scene.
Two Fire Rescue Victoria crews and one Country Fire Authority crew arrived at the house and found the single-storey brick home was fully involved.
They observed large flames coming from the roof.
A FRV spokesperson said firefighters donned breathing apparatus and worked together to bring the fire under control within 15 minutes of arrival.
Police said nobody was inside the property at the time.
All occupants of the home were accounted for and one was assessed by Ambulance Victoria paramedics.
Crews remained on scene for another hour to extinguish remaining hot spots.
The scene was then handed to Victoria Police to investigate the cause of the fire.
Police said the exact circumstances and cause of the fire is yet to be determined but is being treated as suspicious at this stage.
An arson chemist and detectives will attend the scene this morning.
As part of the structure of the home has been compromised, a building surveyor will also attend the scene today.
