One new case was from the 3350 postcode while the other was listed in the 3356 areas.
In Moorabool, a further seven new cases were announced, with one more in Hepburn, and none in Golden Plains or Pyrenees shires.
The confirmation comes as the federal government reacts to news of a new 'variant of concern' of the coronavirus emerging in southern Africa, with many countries already announcing travel restrictions, including Australia.
The United Kingdom, Germany and Italy have detected cases of the new Omicron variant as British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced new steps to contain the virus while more countries impose restrictions on travel from southern Africa.
The discovery of the variant has sparked global concern, a wave of travel bans or curbs and a sell-off on financial markets on Friday as investors worried that Omicron could stall a global recovery from the nearly two-year pandemic.
Two linked cases of the new variant detected in the UK were connected to travel to southern Africa, British health minister Sajid Javid said.
