So disappointing to read of Council's decision not to support the planning permit.

A development such as this would have been another piece in an offering as part of the broader Visitor Economy for this City.
Ballarat has a rich 'brewing' heritage (historically and more recently) which should be viewed as a destination marketing opportunity and encouraged.
Combining developments like the proposed one at Dollar Bill with other providers such as Red Duck, Cubby Haus, Hop Temple, & Aunty Jacks builds itineraries, appeals to an audience with an interest in Craft Brewing, encourages visitor dispersal & spend around the City and a invites an extended visit to the City.
All things which support economic recovery.
Dollar Bill are an awarded craft brewer and have represented Ballarat at numerous events - encouraging people to come to the City.
Not supporting the proposal denies not only the business, but the broader tourism industry and hampers product development. Innovation should be rewarded and encouraged - Not stymied.
Wishing Fiona and Ed all the best at VCAT.

The BCC has knocked back a planning application for Dollar Bill Brewing. If that build causes problems, the BCC needs to look hard at other projects they have passed against the views of many more objectors.

Bring your business to Ross creek guys we will welcome you with open arms, too many snobs in Invermay.

It is disappointing to see Council interfering with the operations and expansion of a small family business Dollar Bill Brewing.
Particularly on the grounds that it might impact the neighbourhood in a semi-rural area on the fringes of Ballarat?
The drawings looked as if they would only improve what is a rather plain looking area.
Business expansion equals more jobs, and I am not sure that even the Ballarat Council doesn't have a policy of interfering with opportunities for jobs growth.
I dare say that the Council would not like to see the business pack up and move to Bendigo which has a considerably more progressive attitude to start up and small business.

ROAD PROBLEMS CONTINUE
Over recent months, I have travelled a lot throughout rural Victoria.
I was most disturbed and concerned about the poor condition of the roads.
They have been allowed to deteriorate over recent years.
Last week I travelled from Learmonth to Ballarat (partly via the Western Highway) and the roads were absolutely shocking.
So much so that I believe my wheels were damaged.
Meanwhile billions of dollars are being poured into infrastructure in and around Melbourne.
I find this most unfair to country Victoria and discriminatory.
Come on Mr Andrews and ministers.
Do not treat rural Victorians as second rate citizens when it comes to maintenance and safety of our roads.
Ron Morrison, Lake Wendouree.
