Former Roos ruckman Jaykeb Lench and journeyman Jesse Sardo have also made their way to the Demons.
Bungaree coach Ryan Waight was thrilled with the group the club had secured.
"We've been lucky enough to land four quality players, probably more importantly four quality people," he said.
"We're rapt to have them aboard. They've trained really well pre-season ... all four have been a great addition and they've got the respect of the playing group already.
"Really excited about what they can bring in 2022."
The quartet fill some holes that Bungaree had this season, being outside running power and a genuine ruckman.
"We dearly missed a ruckman last (season), so Lenchy will help us out there," Waight said.
"Probably for three or four years now as a midfield group we've been a good inside team, but probably on those dryer, harder surfaces we've been exposed on the outside.
"Bringing in the likes of Sardo and Thornton and Doddy, really helps us on the outside as well."
Dodd played his junior football with East Ballarat, winning an under-14 Robert Allan Medal in 2015 and was a member of the 2018 Greater Western Victorian Rebels boys' squad.
Thornton claimed two BFNL junior best and fairest awards and two Robert Allan Medals with Mt Clear.
His tenure with East Point included back-to-back under-18.5 premierships and the club's inaugural senior flag in 2018.
Sardo played his junior football with North Ballarat and Redan, before crossing to Waubra in the CHFL in 2017.
He joined the SMW Rovers in the Mininera and District Football Netball League in 2020, winning the club's senior best and fairest award in 2021.
Lench most recently played with East Point in 2019, playing 12 senior games.
In Bungaree's departure news, midfielders Bailey Veale and Will Lovett have moved on.
