The runner-up in the 2018 club best and fairest, Dinsdale missed all of the 2021 Central Highlands Football League season due to a ruptured Achilles suffered around this time in 2020.
Dinsdale missed Waubra's 2019 premiership after departing the club following the 2018 season.
He played a season with home club Heyfield in the North Gippsland Football Netball League.

He returned to the Roos ahead of the 2020 season, which was ultimately cancelled due to COVID.
Dinsdale's addition to Waubra's midfield will help fill the void left by Lincoln Barnes, who will return to the Ballarat Football Netball League.
The star midfielder has joined Redan after a season which saw him named among the Roos' best in half of the games he played.
Barnes crossed to Waubra from Lake Wendouree in 2016.
Star defenders Jackson Kinna and Ben Wilson - both members of the 2019 premiership team - have also left Waubra for the Sunshine Coast. Kinna was also selected in the CHFL team of the year this season.
