With an unbeaten power on top of the ladder and only two wins separating second from seventh, it's certainly been an interesting Ballarat Cricket Association season to date.

There's been upsets, whitewashes and milestones galore, but behind it all have been standout individual performances.
We dove into the numbers to compile our top 15 players of the season so far.
15 - LEIGH LORENZEN
North Ballarat
247 runs at 35.29, 8 wickets at 38.25
It was some start for the Roosters' all-rounder. Opening the batting, Lorenzen has hit 35 boundaries to set the tone early while his spin has offered valued variety in the middle overs.
14 - TOM BATTERS
Wendouree
12 wickets at 11.09
Batters has made an immediate impact since arriving at Wendouree. The opening bowler has the third-best average of any bowler to have taken 10 wickets so far.
13 - KENDRICK HALTON
Buninyong
14 wickets at 13.57
Halton has been Buninyong's standout player. Fourteen wickets has him placed among the BCA's elite, while an economy rate of 2.71 will be the envy of all bowlers. Hatton has also bowled the most maidens of any of the competition's top 10 wickettakers.
12 - ASH MCCAFFERTY
North Ballarat
16 wickets at 13.50
His side may languish in the lower half of the ladder but it's not through lack of trying on McCafferty's behalf. One of the competition's premier quicks, McCafferty sits third on the wickettaking charts.
11 - HARRY GANLEY
East Ballarat
255 runs at 42.50, 5 wickets at 13.40
Ganley has proved an outlier in a side that has struggled with the bat. Jumping between first-drop and four, Ganley has scored 25 per cent of the Hawks' runs. Five wickets from 21 overs bowled also has him contending for the Champion Player award.
10 - JOSHUA WHITE
Golden Point
271 runs at 67.75
White's class is well-known and he's proved why in the limited opportunities he's had this season. Despite missing two games, the top-order bat is among the competition's top 10 runscorers and owns an enviable average of 67.75.
9 - MADUSHANKA EKANAYAKA
Darley
17 wickets at 11.06
Ekanayaka's nine-wicket haul on the opening day is going to be hard to top as the performance of the season. While wickets have been harder to come by in following games, Darley's new ball specialist has as commanding as ever, boasting an economy rate of 3.26.
8 - SAJITH DISSANAYAKA
Napoleons-Sebastopol
234 runs at 33.43, 11 wickets at 24.82
His coach declared him one of the competition's best before the season and Dissanayaka is proving why. The all-rounder has offered match-winning runs in the middle order, while his leg-spinners have been hard to get away.
7 - JOSH PEGG
Golden Point
311 runs at 44.43
Pegg has proved a spark in a stop-start run for last season's grand finalists. The opener is in rare company alongside Sam Miller and Zac Jenkins as one of the only players to score multiple centuries so far. The teenager has also ably stepped up as captain when needed and savoured more chances with the ball, taking six wickets.
6 - COLE ROSCHOLLER
Wendouree
339 runs at 56.50
The Red Caps' Mr. Reliable continues to dominate at the top of the order. Roscholler is primed for a big second half to the season, having carried his bat once and with a century under his belt already. Six catches is also no small feat for a fielder who spends most of his time in the cordon and inside the ring.
5 - ADAM EDDY
East Ballarat
18 wickets at 7.83
Eddy's move to East Ballarat has proved fruitful, with the Hawks coach the competition's leading wickettaker. The leader's efforts have decided matches for a side that has struggled to score runs this season. A strike rate of 16.17 is the best of any bowler with more than five wickets, while an economy of 2.91 is among the cheapest in the competition.
4 - DILAN CHANDIMA
Darley
297 runs at 59.40, 9 wickets at 30
It didn't take long for the Lions' recruit to stamp his authority on the competition. Chandima arrived having averaged over 120 last season and with a century and a half-century to his name all ready the free-flowing all-rounder is among the runs again. The opener has also carried his bat twice, a feat only matched by two other openers, Sam Miller and Zac Jenkins.
3 - SAM MILLER
Wendouree
441 runs at 88.20
The reigning E.J Cleary Medallist has continued where he left off, hitting two centuries and two-half centuries en route to a 441-run haul for the first half of the season. Miller's feats are made more impressive by the fact he's striking at better than a run-a-ball..
2 - ZAC JENKINS
Ballarat-Redan
443 runs at 88.60, 7 wickets at 29.14
The Two Swords opener has been of the season's breakthrough players and is a big reason why his side sits in a finals place. Despite having played 10 games less, Jenkins is only nine runs off his total output from last season. Jenkins leads the competition for runs scored and boasts the best average. Seven wickets also sees him top the Champion Player count.
1 - DANZA HYATT
Darley
339 runs at 56.50, 11 wickets at 17
The Lions all-rounder is making a claim as an early E.J Cleary Medal favourite. Hyatt's 339 runs, which includes four half-centuries, puts him third on the runscoring chart. Eleven wickets also has him in the top 10 wickettakers to date.
