Police are also urging caution on the roads as grain truck traffic increases - as part of Operation Lorry, Highway Patrol members have intercepted 16 heavy vehicles at the weighbridge, issuing seven penalty notices, two vehicle defect notices and one warning.
The penalty notices issued relate to log book offences, load restraint and failing to obey the sign for trucks to enter the weighbridge area, police said.
