Former VFL forward Ben Casley has signed on for the Panthers' 2022 charge, where he will link up with good friend Dylan Conway.
Casley played alongside Conway at Williamstown after featuring for the GWS Giants in their inaugural season in the NEAFL.
He kicked 39 goals in his 25 VFL games for the Seagulls and was a part of the side that won the Development League premiership.
Casley later joined the Northern Blues before a short stint in Sydney.
He arrives at Melton South as a capable key position player, primarily used as centre-half-forward or centre-half-back.
Casley is the club's third recruit of the off-season, joining ruck Dylan Jones and outside midfielder Hudson Wilde.
Jones, an imposing figure at 200cm, is a premiership player with St Kevin's and Williamstown CYMS in the VAFA and was formerly on Werribee's VFL list.
Wilde makes the move from crosstown rivals Melton, where he spent 2021 playing on the wing for the reserves side.
The Panthers have also re-signed the core of last season's side, most notably Tony Lockett Medallist Dylan Conway.
Former captain Shaun White has signalled 2022 will be his last season and will offer experience at both ends of the ground.
