After reading the "Dogs gone home" comments I reflected on the couple of hours I spent at SpringFest with my dog, strolling along, quietly enjoying ourselves in the sunshine.

I find it unfair to suggest banning dogs from walking the lake during SpringFest, it is a public space and dogs are permitted on a leash.
I saw many well-behaved dogs out with their families enjoying a day out.
It was very crowded at times so I forgive the lady who trod very heavily on my foot and also the man who backed into me, nearly knocking me over, with no apology. And no, I didn't have any "dog" issues - all the dogs I saw were well behaved and well controlled.
Congratulations to the organisers of SpringFest, the dog and I had a great day, perfect weather and we saw many happy, smiling faces, including many happy dogs enjoying this community event.
