The festival will kick off tomorrow, with a great line-up of acts planned over the three days, including The Fauves, Jebediah, D4, the Resin Dogs and US bands Dead Moon and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
Meredith Music Festival general manager Ben Meagher said the festival had moved to a new site, but on the same farm this year.
``We're expecting about 8000 people which will be the biggest crowd ever,'' he said.
``The old site was at capacity last year so things should be a lot more comfortable.''
Mr Meagher said preparations were in the final stages for the weekend, with food and liquor being delivered today.
``It's looking good, hopefully by the time we get to Friday morning there won't be a lot to do,'' he said.
The festival will also include traditional favourites like the Meredith Gift footrace, in which people can run nude or in their underwear.
The race, which some people train religiously for, is one of the highlights of the festival, with most people sticking around to watch before heading home on the Sunday.
Totem tennis on the sports field and new activities like tai chi and the Meredith Eye ferris wheel will also feature at the festival, along with a 24-hour international food court and the Pink Flamingo Bar.
The festival, held on a farm at Meredith over Friday, Saturday and Sunday, has attracted some great names over its 12-year history, including You Am I, guest MCs Merrick and Rosso, The Cruel Sea and Something for Kate.
Mr Meagher said the festival also benefited Meredith, bringing additional business to the town.
