Ballarat Show ready for big three days

FROM racing pigs to the fireworks spectacular, this year's 2010 Ballarat Show is expected to go off with a bang when it kicks off tomorrow. Gates open at 9.30am at the Ballarat Showgrounds, with the Dirty Pumper Freestyle Motorcycle FMX one of the main feature activities at midday.Organisers say the racing pigs, which will be on show throughout the event to Sunday, will attract plenty of interest. Meanwhile, in the craft and cookery section, show assistant Sue Higgs said they had received a large number of entries."Lots of people have developed an interest in cookery after the TV programs ... we've got a wonderful display of decorated cakes and cupcakes this year," she said.All the usual rides will be on offer as well as plenty of show bags The show will be open until 10pm on Friday and Saturday night and until 5pm on Sunday.Entry is $35 for a family, $15 for adults, $10 for pensioners, $7 for children and those under five years are free.
