Businesses fundraise for Victorian floods

BALLARAT businesses touched by the devastating floods will run a series of fundraisers over the next few weeks to help those who've lost everything.On Sunday, January 23 from 10am to 4pm some of Ballarat's finest hairdressers and beauticians will offer their time and expertise free of charge at Unistyle at the SMB Campus.Staff from Paul Tabbitt Hairdressing, Salon Euphoria, Ivy and Jasmine, Stranded on Peel and Stripped Off Waxing Salon are all donating their time, offering haircuts, blow waves, waxing and more.The cost is determined by the individual, so you can donate as little or as much as you like, as all proceeds are going to the cause. Meanwhile, Fernwood Ballarat will be hosting a Zumba night for those who want to get fit and donate money to charity.Classes cost $5 each and will be held at 5.15pm, 6.15pm and 7.15pm on Friday, January 28 and is open to anyone ? men and women."Bring your friends and family along," owner Lee Squire said."It's a great cause and Fernwood is proud to be able to provide assistance to those affected by the floods in Victoria."Register by calling 5332 2300 to secure your place.
