Sesame Street favourite Cookie Monster visited the Ballarat Child Care Centre Co-Op yesterday, spreading the word about his friend Elmo’s upcoming world tour.
Munching on some Sovereign Hill Bakery cookies and chatting with local children, the iconic children’s character with bright blue fur and googly eyes said he loved being in Ballarat.
Elmo and other members of the Sesame Street gang will appear at the Wendouree Centre for Performing Arts on May 31 at 10am.
Cookie Monster played with children and posed for individual photos including with four-year-olds Ned, Maggie and Cyrus.
After singing songs and visiting the playground to play on the swings, there was really only one thing on Cookie Monster’s mind.
“Me want cookie! Me eat cookie!” he said.
“Om nom nom nom.”
