POLICE have warned people about the dangers of driving in the bush at night after five Weribee men went missing on Tuesday. The men, aged between 20 and 22, went for a drive in the Lerderderg State Park when their Nissan Patrol four-wheel-drive got bogged on O'Briens Rd about 8pm. Bacchus Marsh Sergeant Graeme Turner said one of the men called police on a mobile telephone, then walked from the vehicle to look for help."An off-duty CFA member was driving along the road and helped them pull the vehicle out at 9.20am yesterday," Sgt Turner said. "They were all safe and well."He said he was unsure where the men took shelter during the night.Sgt Turner advised people not to drive in the bush at night, to take precautions when driving in the bush and let someone know where they were going. "They were very lucky. They didn't have any equipment, clothing or tools with them," he said.
