Club chief executive officer Mark Patterson announced the club would revert to traditional ground entry admittance charges this year, after a six-year gold-coin donation program.
Entry to the ground during games is now $10 for adults and $5 for concession card holders, while children and club members still enjoy free entry.
Mr Patterson said the decision would not end the club’s association with various local charities, to which more than $70,000 was donated through the gold coin donation program.
“We feel that our gold coin donation has been a wonderful success, however while we are committed to continuing our support of local charities we believe that we must put some real value into our membership packages,” he said.
“I also wish to emphasise the club will continue to provide financial support to local charities and also provide promotional and marketing support and opportunities for charities through this new initiative.”
This year, nine charities will receive a $500 base payment – one for each home game – while further funds will be distributed via a funding pool.
