BALLARAT people are being urged to be on the look-out for an email scam offering a tax refund. The Tax Office has warned that the fraudulent email is circulating with various headings. The email asks people to click on a link which directs them to a bogus website and asks for credit card and personal details. If people have entered their credit card information on the website, they should immediately report it to their credit card provider.
