Bob Davis Shield returns to Ballarat

The BFL clinched the honours with a 16-point win in the under-16s - the last match of the day.Ballarat had earlier taken out the under-13s by three points and Geelong enjoyed the biggest victory of the day, claiming the under-14s by 54 points. North Ballarat brothers Lou and Serge Campana were key contributors in the BFL's under-16 triumph, 10.6 (66) to 7.8 (50).Serge Campana kicked three goals, an effort matched by North Ballarat teammate Sean Massey.Josh Sullivan (Darley) and Matt Sutherland (Bacchus Marsh) were other better players for Ballarat.Geelong under-14s were too classy, 10.8 (68) to 2.2 (14).Bacchus Marsh's Rylie Stuhldreier and Liam Duggan took the battle up to Geelong as much as possible.Ballarat under-13s had to call on everything they had to get over Geelong 5.8 (38) to 5.5 (35).Ambrose Gillett (Lake Wendouree) contributed two goals in a low-scoring affair.Blake Thomson (East Ballarat), Leigh Spiteri (Darley), Mount Clear duo Jordan Taylor and Leeroy Sheridan, and Jacob Wheelahan (Bacchus Marsh) were part of a big team effort to get Ballarat over the line in a pivotal win.
