AT least six more wins - that is the Ballarat Miners' minimum target for the rest of the South East Australian Basketball League season. The RetireInvest Ballarat Miners do not want to lose another game at the Minerdome, and this is the number of games they have left on their home court. And it begins against Nunawading tonight - the first of two games for the weekend. They follow up with a road trip to Sandringham tomorrow.Head coach Leigh Gooding said with the play-offs almost certainly out of reach, the players had set some goals to provide a focus for the rest of the season."They're strong on protecting the home court," he said."If we can do that, it will be a good result."The Minerdome has traditionally been one of the toughest venues for visiting teams in the SEABL.Only three years ago, Ballarat went through the home and away season undefeated at home.It has been a different story this season with one win and seven losses.Gooding said Nunawading provided a good chance for a fifth win.Although their record is not good, the Miners did win three games ago against Canberra, and Nunawading is on the bottom of the south conference."We have to try to finish the season off on a high," said Gooding. He said the Miners had to concentrate on executing what was required to win games in the stretch."We know what we have to do. We just have to do it."The Miners are still without guard Nathan Cavanagh, who continues to struggle with hamstring trouble in a season which is best forgotten.Sandringham will most likely be the toughest of the two assignments. The Sabres are on seven wins to be fourth in the south conference.
