His unraced filly I’m Too Sexy had just stamped herself a leading prospect for the inaugural running of the $200,000 Magic Millions Clockwise Two-Year-Old Classic, 1000m, on Ballarat Cup day on Sunday, November 25.
I’m Too Sexy took out the last clockwise trial run on the circuit before the classic.
Ballarat Turf Club has been running trials in the clockwise regularly in preparation for the feature, but this was I’m Too Sexy’s first try and Riley would not have been happier.
The $30,000 purchase at the Adelaide Magic Millions raced up on the pace before taking charge.
Riley said as long as the Reaan filly pulled up well, she would line up in the classic.
Riley commended the introduction of the race, which is designed to give trainers in the southern states an early opportunity to test their youngsters in the clockwise direction before the Magic Millions Carnival on the Gold Coast in January.
I’m Too Sexy is a half-sister to the smart three-year-old Stralia, which had two wins and a second in his first three starts for Riley – all at Flemington.
Luke Currie took the ride on I’m Too Sexy yesterday and will be aboard her in the Magic Millions Clockwise Classic.
The trial attracted eight starters.
