The 18th annual OBG festival is set to be the biggest and best yet, with 23 classical music concerts over 10 action-packed days this month.
Music director Sergio de Pieri said organisers were expecting crowds to be bigger than last year, when 6000 people enjoyed the sounds of classical music.
“We hope the cathedral will have enough seats because we expect a lot of people from all over Australia and the world,” he said.
Performers from as far away as Italy, Spain, Belgium, France, America and the Czech Republic will perform alongside some of Australia’s finest musicians.
The festival starts at 8pm tonight at St Patrick’s Cathedral and continues until Sunday, January 20. Visit www.ballarat.com/organs for more information, or to book tickets phone 0429 327 097
