Orbost argument ends in murder

An argument in an Orbost street on Friday night has turned deadly, with one man killing another another.

Two Orbost men – Samual Morrison, 29, and another man, 25 – were involved in a verbal altercation in Reed Street around 6pm, police said.

Morrison then allegedly attacked the younger man.

The man suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Orbost Hospital where he later died.

Morrison was charged by the homicide squad with one count of murder. He was been remanded in custody to appear at the Sale Magistrates' Court on Monday February 25.

Police did not reveal how Morrison attacked the man.
