Press should report news, not control it

Have to wonder what this country is coming to.

We have an american newspaper proprietor who couldn't get his choice elected PM at the last election on a daily basis attacking the PM (it is personal) and the government. If there isn't an issue they make one up. Joe Goebbels never had it so good.

It is not the press or so-called journalists who decide who should lead and govern this country, the press are there to report news in an objective way not to create or make news.

An election rightly has been called for later this year, then the electorate can decide on whether they want a fairer society or return to government for the privileged.

Calling for Gillard to resign is simply arrogance whether we like her or not.
