East Ballarat came up short in its run chase at the Northern Oval today.
East did well to bat for 55 over after being 4-4 as Matt Cations tore through the top order.
Mark Shaw, 69, and Tom Brand, 56, rescued the day with an 88-run sixth wicket stand.
Cations finished with 4-32 off 15 overs and Jason Crosbie took 3-51.
BROWN HILL 7-219 d GOLDEN POINT 207
Half centuries by Jason Knowles, 53, and Matt Hyden, 55, guided Brown Hill to a tight win White Flat today.
Dean Ferris also continued an unbeaten 43.
Dwayne Hiscock was Point's most successful bowler with 3-64.

NAPOLEONS-Sebastopol lost an early wicket and never fully recovered in the run chase at home.
Danny Carroll, 39, and Jacob Eyers, 17, proviced the best partnership of the day with 50 for the third wicket.
Carroll top scored, with no other batsmen getting out of the teens.
Ash George led the charge with the ball for the Mounties, taking 4-25 off 9.5 overs, including two scalps in his last over to wrap up the innings.
Nathan Yates took 3-25 off 22 overs.

A dour Coronet City crawled to 142 in a massive loss to Wendouree.
Coronet City was never going to get near the target, even on the Wendouree No.2 ground, and set itself to bat all day.
It batted out 55 overs.
Eamon Johnson picked up a 5-49 off 19 overs.
Sam Peeters 2-6 and Brandon Weatherson each captured two wickets.
Troy McCarthy top scored with 36 in the middle order to help Coronet City out of early trouble at 3-18.

Darley ensured there were no outright points for Ballarat-Redan with a better second day showing at Alfredton.
The Combine resumed at 3-107 with the first innings points already in the bag, but was unable to take full advantage after the loss of too many wickets.
Darley made a much better fist of its second innings.
