MELBOURNE Renegades have found the golden touch in Ballarat.
The Renegades have already started winning over young fans in school clinics at Eastern Oval, then stepping back in time as Renegades of the gold fields at Sovereign Hill.
And the just touched down in town this morning.
This afternoon they will suit up for a game of street cricket in Mount Clear.
Wicketkeeper Peter Nevill said it was all good fun and hoped to meet more Ballarat fans as the weekend's Wipe Off 5 Ballarat Bush Bash camp panned out.
"We've got our actual practice games on Sunday at Eastern Oval and hopefully we'll get a good crowd along," Nevill said.
"Hopefully they can get on board the Renegades."
Melbourne Renegades have an optional training session at Eastern Oval tomorrow morning.
They will play two practice matches against the Darren Lehmann Cricket Academy at Eastern Oval on Sunday. Matches start at 11.30am and 3.30pm.
