The Delacombe man crashed his Ford Falcon sedan about 11am this morning before a passer-by pulled up and expressed his outrage at the driver.
Ballarat Police sargeant Chris Taylor said the driver, aged in his 40s, lost control as he was driving through the roundabout at Sayle Street and Midland Highway in Sebastopol.
"Some bloke pulled up and had a few words with him. He wasn't happy with how he was driving," Mr Taylor said.
"It's unfortunate that this had to happen on Christmas Day but it's lucky nobody got hurt."
The driver refused to take a blood alcohol test at the scene and will be summoned to court at a later date in relation to numerous traffic matters including his refusal of a test.
