Novotel Forest Resort Creswick will play host to the first-ever Victorian Miss Muddy event on Sunday, March 16.
The five-kilometre obstacle race is exclusively for women – although male supporters are welcome – and is for all levels of fitness.
It includes alternate routes should some women choose to skip some obstacles.
Miss Muddy is based on fundraising for women’s charities rather than on finishing times.
Participants and their supporters can then enjoy market stalls and entertainment
post-race.
Hepburn Shire mayor Don Henderson hoped participants would stay to explore the region, including the neighbouring spa country.
“Outdoor adventure racing events are our focus for Creswick and securing Miss Muddy highlights our ability to host major events,” Henderson said.
Resort general manager Jessie Sheehan said the Novotel Forest Resort was excited to host the event and support women’s health and fitness.
