McManus, 11, is in rich form, recently posting a string of impressive results at the Victorian Schoolboys singles and doubles championships in Boroondara, as well as the Warrnambool Sungold Junior Open last week.
He also represented well in several top junior tournaments throughout 2013, including the Wayne Arthurs Cup (under-10), the Frank Sedgman Cup (under-11) and the John Fitzgerald Cup (under-12).
Ranked inside the top-20 in the state for his age group, McManus is seeded third in the singles category, and is partnered with friend and training partner James O’Sullivan in the under-12 doubles category this weekend, with the pair seeded second overall.
The talented junior is also looking to compete in the Victorian grass court championships later in the year and possibly the national titles.
