Hundreds turn out for the ninth annual Daylesford Gift

CRICKET Willow was overcast but crowded today as hundreds of people gathered to watch the ninth annual Daylesford Gift.

Run for the Willow Athletics Carnival organiser Adrian Tinetti said the number of participants was up on last year and he was pleased with the spectator turnout.

"It's a very social, relaxed sort of atmosphere as always," he said.

Over the past nine years the event has raised more than $20,000 for charity. All proceeds from this year's event will be donated to Camp Quality.

Marty Sinclair won the 100m final with a time of 11.11.
