Beaufort recruit Glen Manton visiting Crow country today

BEAUFORT Football Club marquee recruit Glenn Manton visits Crow country today.

He will be in touch to catch up with club officials as well as promote “Whitelion”, which supports disadvantaged young people to live more positive and fulfilled lives.

Manton was a co-founder of the organization in 1999.

The 41-year-old played 178 AFL games with Essendon and Carlton

ANAKIE trainer Andrea Dailly trained five winners at Ballarat greyhound races on Wednesday night.

Dailly, who had 17 starters on the 12-race program, claimed two quinellas.

Cape Clear’s  Gary Peach scored with Inventor ($4.70) in the Velocette at Stud Grade 5, 450m,  and Lyle Bridges from Brown Hill get the money with Rapid Boy ($6.60) in the R and J Batteries Grade 5, 450m.

Elaine trainer Verity Cotton also won with Woodnear ($2.20) in the Lynette’s Florist (Grade 5) 450m.

Ballarat Greyhound Racing Club has a busy week ahead, with a twilight 12-race program on Sunday and another 12 events in its regular Monday timeslot.
