Platelet returns to racing at Moonee Valley tonight

GROUP 1-winning mare Platelet makes her autumn return to racing at Moonee Valley tonight.

Apprentice jockey Harry Coffey's 3kg claim will provide some weight relief for the Darren Weir stable star in a 55 Second Challenge heat, 955m.

She will carry 58.5kg after the claim in the seven-strong line-up.

Platelet has not raced since the spring and is among nominations for the TJ Smith Stakes to be run at Randwick on April 12.
