Castlemaine will make its BDSA open division one debut against Forest Rangers at Chewton.
Castlemaine takes the place of Vikings, which haVe dropped out of the BDSA's top tier.
Reigning champion Ballarat is home to North United at Trekardo Park and Vic Park is home to minor premier Warrnambool, which will be determined to make amends after a disappointing finals series last season.
Warrnambool was unable to win a game in last year's final series, missing the grand final.

BDSA has its junior launch at Morshead Park from 10am on Sunday.
A goalkicking competition and "mini roo" games will be among activities.
The junior season begins on Sunday, April 6 with under-13, under-15 and under-17 competitions.
WEST Ham United Oceania Academy will run an elite player identification camp in Ballarat on April 10-11.
Academy coaches will oversee the camp, which is targeting eight to 18-year-old boys and girls.
Players will selected from this activity to attend a national residential camp.
The BDSA and Forest Rangers Soccer Club are joining forces with Ballarat City Council to run the event.
