A plea was made for a serious consideration of drawing from early years, to continue into primary schooling to complement writing skills.
A quote given from an artist and writer in answer to query of any conflict between art and writing, stated 'on the contrary, they love each other'.
The writer convinced me that the value of combined drawing-writing lessons, already used by some schools, would greatly benefit all students.
I hope the passionate and informed appeal for drawing to be introduced to the primary education curriculum will be heeded by decision makers.
