Each of the plays is unique and as an evening of live theatre it is diverse and fast-paced. The quick wit of the playwrights in the first three plays come to life at the skillful hands of directors Hedley Thomson and Julian Oldfield. The final play, Chatroom, is an honest and heartfelt play, directed with care and detail by Mary-Rose McLaren and assisted by Alexandra Meerbach.

The evening opens with George. Michael Zala leads the experienced cast that includes Janette Baxter and Linda Ogier. The highlight of this black comedy is Michael Zala's character arguing with the pet bird played hilariously by Linda Ogier in a sequence akin to a Monty Python sketch.

A Social Event is a fast-paced comedy featuring strong performances by Lee Taylor and Sarah Falkinder, as two desperate actors who like to drink scotch with their breakfast. Through their calculating housekeeper, played by Jane Gaylor, the actors frantically wrangle their way to a Hollywood star's funeral.

Allan Bennet's, Say Something Happened, features stand out performances by Christine Holmes and Paul Rose as retired English couple, Mr and Mrs Rhodes. The no-nonsense pair squabble over all things unimportant with social worker June Potter, played with affection and an ever-shifting balance of confusion and confidence by Katrina Hill.

The second act is dedicated to the one act play Chatroom, and is a genuine insight into the complex world of teenagers. Kayla Elizabeth Stone is excellent as the calm and compassionate, Laura. Jack Richardson's performance is honest and heartfelt. His character, Jim, is dealing with depression and in a cry for help, joins an online chatroom. Mika Wallace plays the cynical Emily, while Zoe James' character, Eva, reveals a narcissistic side as she slowly bullies Jim for her own gratification. Harrison Baker plays the youthful and impressionable Jack. Recruiting allies in the Chatroom is Fergus McLaren's character, William. William leads the pursuit to bully and intimidate the insecure and vulnerable Jim.
