Ballarat breakfast report: April 17

WEATHER

Ballarat is forecast to reach a sunny top of 21 degrees today, coming off the back of a chilly night reaching a low of 5.8 degrees soon before 7am this morning. 

POLICE

Ballarat Police had nothing to report from overnight, saying it was very peaceful. 

Drivers are warned to be careful on the roads going in to the long weekend. 

Ballarat Highway Patrol Senior Sergeant Pat Cleary said it the roads would be busy over the holiday period and drivers should plan for extra traffic. 

“They need to be patient with other drivers and allow themselves adequate time to get to where they are going,” he said.

Ballarat City Fire had three calls out overnight, two to false alarms and one to a burn off. 

AMBULANCE & SES

Ambulance and SES had nothing to report.
