Each campus team faces the other sides in all sports including eightball, wheelchair basketball, netball, indoor soccer, cricket, tenpin bowling, segway polo, bubble soccer, dodge ball, lawn bowls and hip-hop dancing.
The event’s opening ceremony was held yesterday before students got down to business.
Aquinas campus student association president Rebecca White said Ballarat often hosted the games because it had access to many facilities.
Each campus has a colour and chooses a theme to accompany that colour.
Ms White said Ballarat’s colour was orange, so the team chose ‘Tigger’.
“Ballarat won last year,” she said.
“I’ve quite enjoyed having the view of the Champion’s Cup from my office – hopefully it will stay there and we win this year too.”
But Melbourne campus student association president Kirk Thomson believes 2014 is Melbourne’s year and is hopeful of taking Ballarat’s trophy.
The three-day event finishes tomorrow.
ACU’s other campuses include Adelaide, Brisbane, North Sydney, Strathfield and Canberra.
