Peters returns after a one-match suspension along with Liam Anthony, who has been left out by North Melbourne.
They fill vacancies left by North Melbourne duo Aaron Mullett and Brad McKenzie.
Mullett has earned a reprieve by the Kangaroos after being dropped for one match.
McKenzie will be a travelling emergency as North Melbourne goes to Hobart to play St Kilda on Saturday.
Trent Dumont is another emergency, but as of Thursday night he will not be required to make the trip and will play with the Selkirk Roosters.
Jacob Werts is the third change for the Roosters, which will not have a 23rd player in interchange. He has had the role for three rounds.
Anthony has been a major contributor in each of his eights games for North Ballarat this season with repeated performances of 25-plus possessions.
North Ballarat is badly in need of a win.
The Roosters rushed into the top eight with six wins on end, but has fallen away with back-to-back losses to drop to 10th.
The Northern Blues are seventh with seven wins - one more than North Ballarat.
The Blues have lost David Ellard and Nick Graham to Carlton, but will still feature the likes of power forward Jarrad Waite, Dennis Armfield, Jeff Garlett, Matthew Watson, former Collingwood ruckman Cameron Wood and Dylan Buckley, who will line up on a ground where his father Jim once coached in the Roosters’ Ballarat Football League days.
Meanwhile, North Ballarat has seen the last of North Melbourne-listed Cam Delaney for the season.
After managing just part of one game, Delaney has had surgery on his left big toe.
The 22-year-old had similar surgery late last year and pulled up sore after his only game for the year in the VFL last month.
