In its third year, the DMROS is a celebration of the Daylesford Macedon Ranges arts community,
with 30 artists opening their studios to the public for six days in November.
DMROS founder Jill Rivers said the event was contributing to the growing arts community in the region with artists opening their studios for a rare glimpse
into their creative spaces.
“This year’s launch will be held at Tim Jones’ studio, which makes it really special and gives a glimpse of what’s to come from other artists,” she said.
“It’s a privilege to walk into their private space.
“They will also be there to answer any questions you have, and some are also giving demonstrations.”
Some of this year’s artists include painter Marian Alexopoulos, ceramicist Bridget Bodenham, printmaker Lawrence Finn and sculptor and bellmaker Anton Hasell.
Tourism and Special Events Minister Louise Asher will official launch DMROS at 10.30am on Tuesday, July 29.
The artists’ studios will be open from 10am-5pm on Nove-
mber 1-2, 8-9 and 15-16.
