POLICE
A teenager has been charged following a high-speed pursuit from Altona North to Lara on Thursday night.
Police detected the allegedly stolen red Nissan Pulsar sedan travelling east in Blackshaws Road, Altona North around 9.25pm and attempted to intercept the vehicle.
The driver allegedly failed to stop and a pursuit was called but ended when the five occupants attempted to flee on foot and were arrested.
The 17-year-old Lalor boy was charged with driving offences including reckless conduct endangering life and drive whilst suspended, along with theft of motor vehicle and handle stolen goods.
FIRE
Three fire crews attended a fire which destroyed a caravan at Smythesdale on Thursday night.
Crews were called to Incolls Road near the intersection with Sebastopol-Smythesdale Road.
The Smythesdale crew had the fire under control within 10 minutes
No one was injured.
The incident is being treated as suspicious and is being investigated.
AMBULANCE
Paramedics had no incidents to report from overnight.
