But when you’re raising money for sick children, it is well worth it.
Buninyong CrossFit owners Ben Townsend and Kade Dowie are calling on Ballarat residents to get involved in an initiative designed to raise money for the Royal Children’s
Hospital.
“Making a Difference with Burpees” will be held on October 11 in the lead-up to Alicia MacLean’s Making a Difference Gala Ball on November 1 – another event designed to raise money for the hospital.
“To raise funds for the RCH, people can nominate the amount of burpees they would like to do. They then seek sponsorship from family, friends and work colleges for $1 for every burpee,” Mr Dowie said.
“Every dollar raised then goes directly to the RCH via the Everyday Hero website.”
Teams will gather at Buninyong CrossFit on October 11 to complete the number of burpees they are sponsored for.
Buninyong CrossFit will present a cheque to the Royal Children’s Hospital at the ball on November 1.
Tickets are still available to the ball, which will feature live auctions, lucky dips and entertainment.
Ms MacLean hosted the first ball in 2008 after a close friend died from cardiac arrest.
